We are pleased to announce that our Committee Member, Dr. Joanna Wojewoda-Budka, professor at the Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow, has been honoured by the American Ceramic Society with the prestigious Engineering Ceramics Division’s Jubilee Global Excellence Award. The award was presented during the International Conference and Exposition on Advanced Ceramics and Composites (ICACC) in Daytona Beach, Florida by Dr. Mrityunjay Singh, the Past President of the American Ceramic Society, and Chair of Engineering Ceramics Divisions, Dr. Amjad Almansour.

In connection with the award, the Laureate delivered the invited lecture entitled “The peculiar self-assembling product phases formed via in-situ reactions”.
